HE IS RISEN

HE IS RISEN …..

The Hope of Israel

King of Nations

The Lord of Hosts

Eternal King

The Son of God

The Balm of Gilead

The Son of Man of Holiness

The King of Zion

The Rock of Heaven

The Son of Righteousness

The Great I am

The Good Shepherd

The Stone of Israel

The Son of Man

The Great Amen

The Mighty One of Jacob

The Shepherd of Israel

The Word of Life

Man of Counsel

The Bright and Morning Star

The Holy One

Endless

Eternal

Messiah

The Lamb of God

The Great Jehovah

The Rock of Our Salvation

The liberator of the captive, the succor of the weak, the balm of the afflicted, the well of all perfection, the fountain of all righteousness…..

Where is the sting of death,

The enemy of righteousness,

And humanity’s foe?

The fire of its power lies in ashes

Quenched at Calvary long ago.

TRIUMPH

The suffering endured;

The power displayed;

The love manifested;

- Tad Callister

"The Infinite Atonement"

There is no depth of pain He hasn't suffered;

There is no extent of sorrow He hasn't felt;

There is no degree of difficulty He hasn't experienced;

There is no human suffering He hasn't endured;

The Healer

The Rescuer

The Balm of Gilead

A GIFT

Thou hast loved Thine own

And rescued their souls from crippling fears,

Thou hast sorrowed for the maimed

And bathed their hearts with Thy holy tears.

Did they weep for You at the foot of the cross

Like you wept in the Garden for them that were lost?

AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS

His profound grief, His indescribable anguish,

His overpowering torture.

(Taylor, The Mediation and Atonement, pp 149-50)

I wept for you at the foot of the cross

As you ached for my broken soul

So desperately forsaken and all alone.

I wept for Thy infinite mercy,

Thy limitless goodness,

Thy bountiful compassion,

A gift to him who loveth Thee;

Trailing from the cross of Calvary,

Sealed with Your hour of agony.

DEBT OF A SINNER

Will the sinner for whom you suffered,

Who rejected and reviled Thee

Weep in the end for Thy pain and Thy sorrow?

Will his heart understand

When he kneels before Thee

The debt he owes for the existence

Of his tomorrow?

BEING WORTHY

Did You count me amongst

Your valuable host

As we met in the councils of heaven?

Did I stand strong and ready

To defend Your godship;

To smite the enemy,

To secure Your path to my eternity?

Was I brave and willing to carry the cross

Some of the way to Calvary?

Did I weep with you in the Garden

And held You as You bore the burdens of mortality?

Did I wipe the sweat of Your brow

As I wept for You and weep even now?

Did I promise to bear Your name

Etched in my mortal heart for all to see?

Am I now worthy to carry Your sacrifice

With me into eternity?

CALVARY

I carried my cross to the foot of Calvary,

While you carried yours to the top.

I cried bitter tears over the injustices of my life,

While you bled valiantly for all that was lost.

I carried my hurts like a badge

So scornfully proud and spiritually poor,

While you rose to the heights of your exalted throne:

Perfected, ennobled and infinitely more.

You are so high

And I am so low;

I consent to climb to Calvary’s top,

I consent to be lifted to Thy throne.

HIS WILL

I laid my dreams before God's feet

Knowing He is mighty to fulfil

But if it's not His will,

I will love Him still.

EMBERS OF MY HEART

I dim, I dim,
Each day we are apart,
But your loving mercy
Feeds the embers of my heart.
