When You rose from Your grave

With healing in Your wings,

Did I live on in Your heart

As you ascended to Your throne

To seal my destiny?

Did You carry us all in Your bosom

With the crucible of the cross

Forever etched in Your memory?

I marvel as You lead me over mountains

and over vales;

And when I often fall,

You soothe away my pains.

I marvel at Thy faith in me

I HEAR YOUR VOICE

 

I hear Your voice in empty silence

When loneliness envelops me;

I hear Your voice in violent storms

That plague Me in mortality;

I hear Your voice in my struggles

That never let me be;

I hear Your voice when You pilot me

On dangerous journeys of earthly seas;

I hear Your voice beckoning me

To stay the course because

You will never abandon me.

I hear Your voice getting closer

And more distinct on the narrow path

That leads me home to Thee.

I see Your arms wide open

Waiting to welcome me.

WILLING ARMS

 

Your arms, so willing and so strong,

Dived into the deep and shattered my sorrow;

The depth was no match for the strength

You gained at Calvary so long ago.

Your saving grace

Has lifted me to Your cross

Becoming my mortal weakness’ greatest foe.

I now walk with You

In paths I dare not walk alone;

In the valley of shadow of death,

I rejoice to be Your own.

IN HIS ARMS

 

I wandered and I strayed in unknown paths,

Far from my eternal home;

I knew not where to find You

And how to become Your own.

 

Then You came when I was trapped

In brier, bleeding, helpless and all alone.

You worked so gently while Your hands were

Bleeding much more than my own.

 

I now take the roads I know

And avoid the paths unknown;

I remember Your arms that held me

And how they felt like home.

THE TRUTH IN MY SOUL

 

How deep He buried the truth in my soul
Long before this body of clay
Began the journey below!

He has watered the seed of my faith
And cleared my garden of weeds of gloom;
He is the Gardener who tenderly watches
My soul’s everlasting bloom.
